I have now been on my journey as a recovering alcoholic for 19 1/2 years, a journey that has seen highs and lows, a journey that is made up of one moment at a time…a journey that will never end. By God’s grace I am living a sober life…I have a wonderful relationship with my kids and grandkids, family, friends…I am productive…I embrace each day…for those who are just beginning this journey, I know it is difficult in so many ways, but NEVER give up! Believe me, you will be blessed! Remember to ask God to “grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”
